I am a Hospitality specialist with over 30 years of experience under my belt. My brand experience includes Sheraton, Starwood Hotels, Marriott, Luxury Resorts, Hilton and IHG. I have worked in just about every capacity in a hotel and can truly say that I know how to “clean a room” and pride myself on not just being a hard worker but a smart and innovative one as well. I am genuine, loyal and thrive on results. I am a people person who establishes a professional working environment with the team and clients.

My operational experience gives me the edge in multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, managing staff, controlling budgets and producing positive results. This, coupled with my grassroots philosophy in sales, group Sales, SMERF, FIT's, National Accounts, Local Accounts, Travel Agents, OTA's, CMP's, Corporate Events, Professional and Collegiate Sports, Sales experience in the Tri-City market and proven record increasing revenues.

During my career, I was trained as a certified presenter, managed employees in surplus of 50 including managers, created and developed training manuals along with standards of operating procedures, presented and formulated budgets, managed 10 million dollar budgets, responsible for generating millions in revenues, motivated staff, instituted fundraising opportunities with staff to promote teamwork and moral, and a host of other responsibilities and achievements. Special mention should be given to several awards attained over the years such as the Arline Simpson Award, presented by the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce & Convention Bureau of NJ and the first time ever awarded MVP Travel Planners Association of the NFL. 

POSITIVELY IMPACTFUL 
I grew up on the island of Freeport, Grand Bahama. I am the firstborn to Bishop Raymond and Evangelist Mattie Hanna. I enjoyed exploring the island as a child and attended schools such as Saint Vincent DE Paul's, Mary Star of the Sea, Bartlett Hill, Hawksbill High School and finally Freeport High School. After graduating from high school, I moved with my family to the United States to further my education and attended Palm Beach Community College and Florida Atlantic University (FAU). My constant involvements in church and high school functions prepared me for college and paved the way for my continued passion in organizing and helping the community. This was further demonstrated by participating in the following ventures: Student Government, President of the Black Student Association (BSA) and was appointed as Correspondence Secretary for the African American Student Association for the State of Florida. I was honored to receive awards and recognition for my involvement in the community by both the Student Government and the BSA.

My activities included partnering the Black Student Association with a community program called Today's Society Tomorrow’s Leaders of Delray Beach, Fl. Our outreach extended to underprivileged kids, which included distribution of meals, clothing, picnics and mentoring. While growing up on the Island, I can recall several quotes my parents would always recite "You are the head and not the tail" , "Be a leader and not a follower" and, last but not least "Always put God first" I attribute much of my success to my loving parents and belief in God. My passion and genuine desire to help others often expanded outside the realm of humans and, it was not strange for me to bring home a stray cat or wounded bird. All humor aside, my sense for helping others was instilled at an early age.
